About Lowcard

Who runs it

Lowcard is run by James, based in the UK. It's a sister site to Undertuned, which does the same for guitars and studio gear. It answers one question before you buy a golf club: is this actually a good price?

How deals are found

1. We match the exact club in each listing from UK shops and marketplaces: the model, and its spec (flex, and for iron sets the set make-up, such as 4-PW, and the shaft). Headcovers, heads or shafts on their own, bundles and clubs sold for spares are left out.
2. We work out the typical price for that same model and spec, new or used: the median of recent prices, once we have at least 5 to compare.
3. We flag deals at least 20% below that typical price. Anything 60% or more below is more likely a mistake, a fake or a misdescribed club, so we don't show it.

At launch we cover drivers and iron sets, right-handed, in regular or stiff flex. Other clubs and specs may follow.

Where we are now

Lowcard is brand new. We've applied to UK golf shops' affiliate programmes. Until that's done, the deals and prices on the site are made-up samples, each labelled "Sample", to show how it will work.

What Lowcard isn't

Lowcard isn't a shop. You buy from the seller, on their site and under their terms. Links to shops are ads that may earn us a commission, as explained in the affiliate disclosure.
